 The company was founded in 1995 as SPARX*. At the time the core business was CGI animation for TV idents and TV Commercials. From 2000 the company developed new activities in Feature Film and CGI animated TV series. In 2005 Sparx* was split in 2 and sold to different shareholders. The animation branch for TV series and feature films was sold to American investors. The TV commercial branch was renamed SPARX-FX and became part of the TRANSATLANTIC GROUP the French leader in post production services. In March 2008, in order to avoid confusion with the other company ,the name SPARX-FX was changed to SNARX-FX in reference to the Lewis Carroll poem ‘The Hunting of the Snark’... Today SNARX-FX is a company producing images for advertising and special effects for feature films. We provide a wide range of services covering the full spectrum of image creation from 35mm shooting to CGI animation, and from large size print to web animation. The organization is based on 4 departments: - A production team with 2 producers and 2 production coordinators, plus freelance producers and post-producers. - A creative department for pre-production with 3 staff artists working on storyboard, character design, mood board, matte painting and 2D animation. - A CGI department with 30 workstations and the necessary rendering power. - A post production department with 1 AVID Adrenaline suite and 3 HD Flame stations. |
